Nivi: sheesh, this is a ways back to be posting something...
Anyway, your request is one of the things I'm actively working on at present, I would like to add it for the 0.3a release.

This has been really annoying me - it seems that before anything else, it scans the area for routers rather than getting information from the DSs firmware.
This is desperately irritating because my router has a hidden SSID so it will not respond to searches unless you supply the correct SSID.
Could you make it so it supports hidden SSIDs in future please?

HDfatboy: see if your router has ssid broadcast disabled, this needs to be enabled for the current version of the lib.
FlyingSquirrl: possibly terminal characters? I'm not emulating a full terminal, just giving an approximate telnet connection.
A2hok: it's unclear what is causing your problem, there are still a few kinks involving certain kinds of routers and settings, some of which will be worked on in the next release.
Matt: Yes, Shared authentication is not supported in the current version of the lib (though it was initially planned).
And to all: for an approximate bug list and a list of features that are going to be implemented in a future lib version, see the checklist (wiki.akkit.org/SgstairChecklist)
Thanks for all the replies, and good luck with your projects again :)

Shared authentication doesn't work. At least, not shared WEP authentication. But WEP with open authentication works fine. I switched my network to open now (it's supposed to be more secure anyhow), but maybe you should mention that somewhere.
