So, things aren’t exactly moving along as fast as I’d like… Here’s the status of a few things that are near the front of my queue:
* Apprentice Exam, round 2 – I’ve just been lazy putting this together… it’s about half done, I will finish the other half and post it sometime. Not sure when exactly, yet.
* Spartan-3E logic analyzer – Hardware side on this is done now (not completely tested) – Software side is started, but not usable yet. Once it gets to be usable, I’ll continue work on Wii RE’ing.
There are a handful of other things I’m doing too, but they’re not quite as interesting or important… I’ll update when more gets done.

Hi there.
I’m I dunno if you are interested in this what I have here, but I have sucefully clean dump 4 official Download Station (Vol. 1 ~ 4) US ver. (I can’t say how I got them. I can only say that I used the FWnitro 1.6c .)
I dunno if it would help make anything like improve the wifilib or make any homebrew that we can make own Dowload Station etc.
Are you interested? Actualy I tried to boot it but all I got was a blank screen. In the orig cart was something like a menu to monitor the connections. ( Yes, almost all downloads stations is only a DS with a card that sends demos and aren’t on sale or easy acessible. )
And please, can you suggest any program that can capture raw data from the downloads stations? If these dumps I got here are not a clean perfect dump I will have another chances to get them one by one.

I should probably put together a more formal post on this; No, I’m not interested in hosting more recent download station binaries. There are other sites doing this – the ones on my site are (largely) captured from over-the-air broadcasts, which puts them in a much safer legal classification; additionally, I don’t have as much time to mess with it recently, my time is going to other places.

Rather, are you alive? x3

Yes :P doesn’t really seem very evident though, does it?

Well, you DO check the site at least x3

Yes, I do pay very close attention.
Additionally, I’ll drop a hint here, I’m very close to having the Apprentice Exam 2 ready, I’ll announce probably a week before I release it.

Have you made any progress with the Wii at all? It doesn’t seem like anyone’s even trying.

HyperHacker:
No, I haven’t personally made any progress… very busy with other things. A lot of good folk are prodding it in their spare time, it’s just a very well locked-down system. Something should come up though…

Theres two things I’m waiting for:
DS Tunnelig(I hope this comes out)
Wii Homebrew, I want to program for the Wii =D

it really sucks that you’ve abandoned the DS specific tunnelling project in favour of the Wii project. DS wifi tunnelling is much more exciting as you can take the DS out and about. The Wii can only connect from home… great. Just like the PC. Nice.

Did you have any luck sniffing the I2C protocol between the nunchuck and wiimote? I am trying to use an arduino to read in data from the nunchuck, but no luck so far.
thanks

Oy, since you have put the DS tunneling at hold(at least looks like), why don’t you share the source code? =P I would LOVE to look at it =P
I actually gave it a try.
So far I am at trying to figure out the 802.11 Frames. According to what I have read, they should be simple enough, I can determine what kind of frame it is(Management, Beacon, data etc.) But it seems like I fail to find the Manufacturer part at the tag. I’m not even sure my DS is picked up, maybe I should start by trying to SEND and see if my DS picks up…
Anyway, I have gotten some code running to sniff everything 802.11 that comes my way =P

ok, Ive gotten to a point where I can pick up every NDS Wireless packet. Shouldn’t it in theory be possible to just send this over the net, and just spit it out again, with no modification? This would of course use a lot of bandwidth since it re-send the same packets etc. but it should still work.
I don’t have two ds’s to test with unfortunately =/
Maybe I can get my hands on one later.

Everywhere I look online it seems that everyone has dropped their ds tunneling projects around the same time. Is there something that declared tunneling impossible or something? I just would like to know. There is a new game that is out that has a sweet local multiplayer mode, but yet they didn’t have an online multiplayer mode(witch I see no reason why they shouldn’t have provided one on the game). This I what struck my interest on DS Wifi hacking/Tuneling. If anyone has any information on tunneling please E-Mail me: j1e9r5e6my@hotmail.com

Hey Riscii, I bet what you wanna play is FF Ring of fates online. Yeah Nintendo is really screwing everyone with there online service, which i guess since its free were getting a good deal. I really wish the DS would be tunneled there are a lot of good games to be played.
